A Dream 04:11
i don't mind killing time as long as time is on our side and if not then who knows? i still might, but so it goes you seem stressed, can i help? not what's best, not right now so my dear, here we are and if this don't leave a scar we would float away like a dream i had to the open sky through the atmosphere, just you and i we would find a place in the stars and space where it's not so bad no it's not so bad cosmonauts drifting light not a sound, all the sights maybe here, in the void, you would be less paranoid we would run a.s.
2.
Tomb Raider 03:59
i watched you so carefully take this to the altar this dread caught in your throat from things he did or died trying pale skin pulled back so tight, formaldehyde inside hardly the face you knew and i didn't i watched you grasp for my absent hand and falter that goodbye would have been my first introduction the things he asked of you and others never again all of these things you knew but she didn't vatican views forced down the throats of mourners turned spectators and a specter hangs above it all. weak stomachs flood into the hall his mom has no tears left to cry; she's given them to all the others i feel more eyes on me than him, cause here i'm a stranger among brothers one of his four most intimate moments; there's only one he didn't receive some of us know your side of the story and looking at you i know you don't believe a word that Our Father is saying so what the fuck is the point in praying for him to ascend? cause when it comes down to it, there's no way he's going to heaven and the priest goes on and on a.s.
3.
Amalgamate 03:22
don't want you to say when the tabs kick in when the room up and starts to spin wipe my nose on your t-shirt sleeve bite my tongue so i can't describe what's outside of your bedroom walls those same words line the empty shell airplane lines running parallel contrast, saturation, the sun's not hot brick sits boldly against the sky feel so dirty but don't know why red car come rolling down the street roll on seeds falling off the trees dousing ourselves in gasoline acid flashbacks, a liquid mind they can't see the way that things have been now trees are become our only friends they can't see the way that things have been now creeks are become our only friends a.s.
4.
Revisiting 03:57
untapped potential behind the walls of your bedroom and the hall stretches on and on blue circles spinning round the dark, spin across dead bodies in the park and we spin on and on overly sentimental, because to not be would be mental so the train goes on and on we'll buhl like we used to, because it's not what we're used to so the night stretches on and on in revisiting, we find some vices aren't worth keeping places to be, people to see, and you'd rather be sleeping? when you're retrograde, who do you think you'll save? cause it's not yourself we'll crawl into the briar patch, we'll run into the woods we'll say we've got a flight to catch and see it does no good we'll leave ourselves on thorny trails, the flame will sting our wounds asleep upon a bed of nails and we woke up too soon i pray this stays between us now, you pray nobody knows we try to run but don't know how, the world around us glows and no one has to say a word a.s.
5.
we hit the open road alone our fingers frozen to the bone and you're stoned, and i know cause it's a democratic thing it don't discriminate unlike the place we were before priding itself on what it ought to be it's not that i need a source of constant stimulation but if you shut up i think i'll lose my mind i'm approaching this with a sense of optimistic trepidation so darling keep talking, let's kill some time so here we are you got me wondering how to think just like matty said all those years before our poison apple, take a bite and it's so chemical but we don't know you're such a pretty little thing i think we bit off more than we could chew at every turn we know it might cutting it close, honey we're used to it we hit the target on the mark the sky erodes until it's dark i'll kill the pain, i need you close to me a.s.

one of my wildly talented cinematographer friends, chris freeman, came to me early on in the recording process for this EP and expressed interest in directing a music video for me. his video for "amalgamate" is linked to the right.

thank you to everyone whose face i've shoved my phone into to show them these tracks, to everyone who gave me feedback, and to everyone who supports my dreams and endeavors. i never expected as much attention from this project as i have received since starting it, nor did i ever expect anyone to actually buy my stuff from my bandcamp page (thank you for that, by the way, you all SLAP) or from itunes or wherever, or for anyone to stream it. a big part of what's justified the making of this record is YOU GUYS.

special thanks to andy, chris, john, jon, max, dex, evan, stumpy, matt, and of course sophie for their boundless inspiration, patience, and help in rushing to put together this project i've daydreamed of for months now.
